Having the right Carnival essentials isn’t a luxury—it’s the bare minimum.
Hey, I’m Kayla Martone—Carnival chaser, Glam Hub Toronto franchise holder, and a masquerader who’s done the road in Trinidad, Jamaica, Miami, Saint Lucia, Bermuda, Toronto, Montreal, and yes, even a little Crop Over cameo. So when I say this list is battle-tested, I mean paint, powder, long fetes, and costume malfunctions tested.
Whether you’re doing just the fetes, J’ouvert, Carnival Monday + Tuesday, or the full two-week Trinidad experience—this Amazon Storefront is my real-deal checklist. Not cute ideas. Just what actually works.
Let’s go:
1. For the Road: Carnival Survival Mode Amazon Carnival Storefront here → https://www.amazon.com/shop/carnivalglamhub
Handheld Fan (not the necklace): Fan necklaces? Aesthetically offensive. Stick with something small you can tuck when the photographer shows up.
Lightweight Power Bank: Don't be struggling come 4 pm, when the vibes nice and you can't capture a moment because your phone is on 1%. A dying phone—it’s a safety issue too. Pro tip: Turn off wifi and set your phone to low battery mode from the get-go.
Thigh Pouches Only: Nothing ruins a photo like a clunky fanny pack. Go sleek. Go waterproof. Go thigh-high.
Unlocked eSIM for Data: If you’re flying in, stop playing with your roaming bill. An international eSIM keeps your phone connected without stress or surprise fees. No line, no physical chip. Load it before you land. We added one to the store.
2. J’ouvert & Water Party Must-Haves Amazon Carnival Storefront here → https://www.amazon.com/shop/carnivalglamhub
Baby Oil Gel: Layer it before the paint hits. Makes the shower after way less traumatic.
Mesh Tops & Bikini Sets: Lightweight. Easy to rinse. Looks like effort, but you didn’t even try. Love that!
Rain Cap - Skip the Shower Cap: She’s not ugly—she’s brilliant. Keeps your wig and edges safe from powder + paint downpour.
Ziplock Bags > Phone Pouch: Forget the foggy phone pouch, which is cumbersome and breaks apart quickly. Waste of money. I don't even take them when they give them away for free. Throw your phone in a Ziplock made for your phone - yes, those exist- and drop it in your thigh pouch, and still get content.

Try Fashion Water Boots: Please don’t disrespect your feet in old white AF1s. Crocs if you must. But fashion boots, with or without the platform? Bonus points.

Disposable Water Jacket: Not glamorous—but that 5 AM water? Violent. Also protects your phone and hair.

3. Beauty That Stays Put Amazon Carnival Storefront here → https://www.amazon.com/shop/carnivalglamhub
Waterproof Lash Glue: Strip lashes over extensions. Trust me. Humidity in the Caribbean is rude.
Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray: It’s giving locked in. Carnival-proof. Road-proof. Sweat-proof.
Hair Wax Stick: Edges stay. Braids stay. Ponytail STAYS.
Dr. Scholl’s Blister Balm + Gel Insoles: This is not a suggestion. It’s policy.
4. Costume Hacks & Fixes Amazon Carnival Storefront here → https://www.amazon.com/shop/carnivalglamhub
Fashion Tape & Body Adhesive: Especially with these new "string is a costume" designs? You need a backup plan.
Nipple Covers: Because nobody needs a nip slip in front of the truck. Carnival PG13, please.
Mini Sewing Kit + Safety Pins: Unless you’re at Glam Hub (we have seamstresses on-site), don’t gamble.
PKut Stockings by Kandi: Not on Amazon, but worth a separate mention. Bathroom breaks in fishnets? Nightmare. These are your solutions. Here → Karnival by Kandi
5. Aftercare & Hangover Fixes Amazon Carnival Storefront here → https://www.amazon.com/shop/carnivalglamhub
Electrolyte Packets: Liquid I.V. or DripDrop. You’ll thank me when you’re questioning your life choices at 6 AM
Monday morning, knowing Tuesday coming like a freight train.
Cooling Eye Patches: Helps erase the “I just did three fetes in 24 hours” under-eye look. If you're out of patches, take out any cold tin drink from the fridge and roll-press under your eyes and skin for a fresh face.
Foot Soak Salts: Real talk, bands are including this in goodie bags now, usually disguised as “spa salt.” Use it.
Aloe Vera Gel: For the sunburn you swore wouldn’t happen. Because nobody... and I mean absolutely nobody, is thinking about reapplying sunblock in the middle of the road.
Mini First Aid Kit: Blisters. Scrapes. Rum punch incidents. Prepare.
Rosemary Oil: Listen. I learned this the hard way. A tight ponytail and sun equals bald spot. Just start now. Don't believe me?
